When we went to Arizona for Thanksgiving we came back with a new trike and bike from Uncle Kelly. Lucky for us Aurelia outgrew them :). To say they love them would be an understatement. They ask daily to ride their bikes, but unfortunately we live in the hills and it isn't so easy around here. The weather has been so nice that we have been able to take them to the park to ride.

Grandpa Crow made Keely & Kennedy this dollhouse/bookshelf for Christmas and Grammy (my Mom) painted it this week. The middle shelf on the left is a replica of Keely's nursery walls and there is a rug on the floor on the middle shelf on the right. The girls just love it. We took down Kennedy's crib and put it in their room. We have moved all their books and dolly's into it.

Megan & Keely

For Christmas this year we went to Utah to spend time with Kevin's family. The girls warmed up to the cousins pretty quickly and had lots of fun with them. It was cold but no snow on the ground yet. We also got to eat at my favorites, Magelby's Fresh and Hickory Kist. yum! I asked Keely what her favorite present was, and she told me it was Kennedy's doctors set. lol she makes me laugh. Both the girls got tons of gifts and to say they are spoiled is an understatement.

We had a really nice Ward Christmas Party this year. My Mom & I helped with the decorations. There were snowflakes and candy canes everywhere. Aren't the dresses the girls are wearing so cute?! My Mom made those.

Pretend City

A month or so ago I was able to get a great deal to Pretend City in Irvine and this weekend we finally went. The girls were able to play at the beach, in a police station, a fire station, in a kid size house, a farm, a construction zone, go grocery shopping, fishing, play on a stage, go to a library, to the doctors, to a dentist cook at a restaurant and paint in the art studio. It was really fun for their age and I hope we can go back sometime soon.

First Stitches

Well it was no surprise that Kennedy was my first to get stitches. She took a tumble down the first set of stairs and hit the wood square banister. There was lots of blood so we to the urgent care and with the help of a doctor, 3 assistants and me she got 3 stitches by her eye. She keep telling me that she got a shot in her boo-boo and it really really hurts. I did good and actually watched the whole thing and then when they were all done, got woozy and had to sit down. I guess my adrenaline ran out. She had the stitches in for about 5 days. Taking them out was just as bad as putting them in. :(

Thanksgiving in Arizona

We had a great Thanksgiving in Arizona, full of family, food & Dance 3 for the WII :) We even went on a walk thru the bird preserve in Gilbert. Only complaint was the drive home... it took us about 9 hours

The Last of Halloween

The girls had a great time at the ward "Trunk or Treat" party. They loved the games and loved getting the candy. My sister Amy came to help trick or treat on Halloween night. The girls buckets got so full so we filled their witches hats with their candy to lighten their load, but Kennedy was too worried about her candy so she had to have it back in her pumpkin and lugged that thing around. It was a struggle to take her candy away both nights. In fact as she was going down for a nap the following day, she was still saying "Trick or Treat"... in her crib :)

We got to go to the Irvine Railroad Pumpkin Patch Park again this year. Its becoming an annual tradition and the girls love it! We went with my girlfriend Lindsay and her new husband Will and our other friend Lindsay "Clark" Matthews and her family. We had lunch at the park and then the girls got to, jump in a bounce house, go thru a "spooky house", and go thru the hay maze.

Last week we ventured up to Apple Country. There actually weren't very many apples :( But we still had fun walking around, eating, and at the petting zoo. Kennedy loved this little goat. Who are we kidding Kennedy loved every animal.

On Kennedy's birthday weekend we went to Zoomar's Petting Zoo in San Juan with our friends from church the Crosbys. The girls got to pet/feed rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, goats, sheeps, pigs, mini horses and more. Keely was scared of almost everything... Kennedy loves animals. She would pet anything.

We just went to Sear's to get Kennedy's 2 year old photos. (I picked them up tonight and scanned them, so they aren't the best quality online, but cute in person) Funny story. While Kennedy was getting her pictures taken, Keely was in the back standing with Kevin and asked several times if she could get her pictures done too. We kept telling her no. (because her hair wasn't done and she wasn't wearing anything cute) Well finally we gave in and got a cute pic. of the two of them. It is funny, at least to me, because when Keely got her 3 year old pictures done two months ago, I couldn't even get her to smile and she cried I left so frustrated with her. So now we know the trick is to pretend that she isn't getting them and focus on Kennedy to get her comfortable in front of the camera.

We were pretty low key for Kennedy's 2nd birthday. My Mom, Keely, Kennedy & me went to Chuck E Cheese to play and for lunch and at night had a small family party with Rockwell cupcakes and presents. We didn't take very many pictures because we flip video'd most of it. She was really sweet with each present she would say "What is it?" She got a Dora tent, Stackable blocks, a pretty dress, Barbie, Princess & the Frog DVD, Dolly, and more! She was very happy!

My little Kennedy is such a silly girl. I really love the age she is at. She has such a good sense of humor. She is really into trying to put on her own clothes. One day she took off the clothes I put her in and came in wearing Keely's pj's and a beanie, I had to get the camera out. Kennedy has turned into her mama, she is a nail biter! Most the day she has her fingers or her toes into her mouth. I just hope it doesn't take her 30 years to break that habit like it took me.

We finally got to go to the Circus! It was at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Keely liked the elephants best. They came out in the beginning and she wouldn't stop asking for them for the next 30 minutes. (thankfully they came back out) There were some pretty good acts. It was a fun family day.

Keely's Three~!

Keely had a busy busy weekend. Friday was her big dentist appointment. We met with the dentist (3rd & best one) early morning and I guess all the brushing and rinsing has helped! The first two thought she needed 3-4 crowns. This one said no crowns! She still had 7 cavities to fill and sealants so they gave her oral sedation. She is a funny little loud drunk :) She cried for the first 5 minutes and then fell asleep, thank goodness.

Saturday we met with some friends from church and got lunch at Chick fila and then went to Keely's first movie at the movie theatres. We saw Winnie the Pooh. She did great. The movie was only 69 minutes so I think that helped. But she sat and ate her popcorn and candy and sang along to the songs. I didn't know that kids under 3 were free... I would have tried earlier. I guess at least we got to take advantage of that once :)

Sunday was Keely's Birthday. She woke up to balloons all around the house. She loved them. We have 9am church, Grammy stayed with Keely (I had to go to one of my best friends Wedding Shower) in Nursery and they sang to her there. When I got home from the shower we did presents and cake. She loved all her presents. She even shared with Kennedy. (not often that happens) Her big present from us is tickets to the Circus. We are so excited to take the girls at the end of the month.

At Keely's three year old check up... She weighsed in at 31.4 lbs (Dr said a little below average) and is 38 1/4 inches tall (75%). She had to get her iron tested (finger prick) and one immunization shot. She was not too happy about that. I had Kennedy with us at the appointment and the nurse came in with the shots and asked which one was Keely, and Kennedy said "ME" I should have let her get the shots, she is such a little stinker. lol

A couple of questions I asked Keely-
Q:What is your favorite color? A: Yellow, red, blue and purple....
Q: Whose your best friend? A: DAD!...and sissy.....long pause and Mommy
Q: What's your favorite food? A: I like chicken

I know I haven't mentioned it but Keely is fully potty trained. I know alot of people potty train their kids younger, but I wasn't mentally ready until now. We started on June 1st and she took to it super fast. She has had less than a handful of accidents. She is so proud of herself every time she uses that restroom. Only problem is sometime Keely just wants to see the restroom in whatever store we are in, whether she needs to use it or not. Kennedy is acting interested now too. Who knows maybe I will get them both out of diapers soon :)

For the 4th of July most of all the grandkids on my side of the family were in town. We went down to Peralta Park to meet up with the ward. There was a good BBQ and treats. The kids had fun with water balloon fights, 3 legged races etc. Kennedy watched and loved the fireworks. Keely hid under the blanket 90% of the time. She told me to take pictures with my camera so she could see them. Silly girl, she watched them and loved them at Disneyland last year. I think they were just too loud for her.

My Brother Craig and my sister Jackie came to town to visit. The girls got to do lots of fun things in the last week or so. Craig rented a condo by Balboa fun zone so we got to go to the beach and kayaking. We also went down to the Great Park in Irvine. They have free carousel rides and balloon rides. Keely also went to get her toes painted with cousins Summer and Ally. There was also swimming and bounce houses.

Grandma Crow was in town so we all went to Irvine Park. The girls got to ride the ponies (Keely got scared when her pony neighed...hence the no pictures of her on) and the train. We planned on going to the OC Zoo too, but it closed and we missed it. We finished up Grandma's visit at Islands for dinner. It was a good day.

On Saturday we went to Tanaka Farms in Irvine. They took us on a trackor ride through out the farm and let us try celery, carrots, green beans, wax beans and onions (only Kennedy tried the onions) before they let us out to pick and eat strawberries.

Kennedy's 18 month Stats

Kevin's been in Minnesota for training for two weeks and he had the laptop which had the photos I wanted on it, so this post is late. But I wanted to remember Kennedy's 18 month stats. She weighed in at 25.4lbs and 32 1/2 inches tall. About 75% in both. What can I say about Kennedy.... She's trouble. She gets into everything, climbs and jumps off anything, can open child proof bottles and lately likes to wake me up at night. Her hobbies are hitting, pinching and pulling hair. (Mostly Keely's but sometimes mine) She believes in equality, meaning anything Keely has she NEEDs too. She is still an animal lover and a tough cookie. It takes alot to make her cry. All in all we still love her. On a good note, she has started hugging and kissing alot more.

Happy Easter! I think the girls had lots of fun, hunting for eggs and coloring eggs. Dyeing eggs with a two and one year old.... interesting :) Kennedy tried to eat an egg and also tried to drink the dye. Kevin is in Minnesota for training so he missed out on most of the Easter festivities. Grammy got them the cute matching dresses for Easter.

Well we are in Arizona (have been for two weeks, and will be for two weeks more) I have been working for my old company doing taxes and my sister Jackie has watched the girls for me during the day. Keely already likes Jackie more, I am sure Kennedy will by the time we leave. Their days are filled with the park, bike rides, jumping on the tramp, art projects and much more. Boy are they going to be bored when it is just us again. But for now they are just enjoying being here with their cousins.

Over New Years Kevin's parents came down from Utah to see their newest grandchild baby Matthew. Kevin's brother Scott and his wife Melissa live in LA so we got to go see him for the first time. He's such a good baby. The girls loved him. Keely wanted to hold and "pet" him so bad. Most anyone that knows us, knows how shy Keely is and usually won't talk to people, even those she knows. She took right to Grandma and Grandpa Crow, can't wait for them to come back for Matthew's blessing in a month or two.

We had a great Christmas this year. All the family (who was in town) came over for Christmas Eve and my Mom made a delicious prime rib. On Christmas day the girls were spoiled, They got a train set, tent, trampoline, sit-n-spin, stuffed animals, books, etc. Its a fun age for Keely. She is happy with the little things. I asked her what her favorite thing was and she said her Chapstick... In picture above, we didn't even attempt to put them on Santa's lap, but afterwards Keely liked him because he gave her a candy cane. Her first of many candy canes.

We went to Arizona for the weekend for my nephews Jake's baptism. He is so sweet, I am glad we got to go for him. Keely had a blast as usual with her cousins. The girls couldn't get enough jumping on the trampoline, going to the park, dancing and playing.

Last week my sister Amy took us ( Candis, Keely, Kennedy & my Mom) to the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Just so happened that all three of the adults camera batteries were dead.... so these are from phones and the flip video. It was a warm day (in the 90s) and lots of walking, but it was pretty fun too. Keely saw lots of animals, but I think her favorite was the tram ride thru the safari and the carousal ride. Well have to go back some day, but I think I will wait till they are a little older and when Kevin can come too.

I can't believe it has already been a year! That also means we have been in California for a year... Where does the time go? Even though her nickname is "naughty neddy" we love her so. She is finally sleeping well. Not as well as Keely, but pretty darn good. She has been running/walking for a good two months. Her top two front teeth are finally coming in. Good thing too, cause this girl likes to eat. Her one year old stats... 20.13lbs and 30 inches tall.

Fun Week!

The girls had a pretty fun week. We got to go to Newport Beach on Wednesday and San Clemente Beach Sunday night for a family get together. Our days were also filled with swimming and park day. It is finally heating up here in Sunny California. Kennedy is a walker now. She walks about 90% of the time and is fast!! She doesn't like baby food either, she wants to be able to pick up the food and put it in her mouth all by herself. Keely finally figured out how to get out of her crib. Kevin took off the front slats so she now has a day bed. We have an extra crib mattress so that can catch her when she rolls off. We turned the locks on the doors around in her room so we can lock her in =) We can keep her in, but she turns off the monitor and turns on the lights and even turns off her sound machine... basically it takes her awhile before she decides it is time to take a nap or go to bed. Ahhh the life of a two year old.

Keely turned 2!! Grammy made her a yummy cake and cookies ( I helped a little). We went to Chuckie Cheese on her birthday and then family came over on Sunday to celebrate. Kennedy went in for her 9 month check up today. She did so good. Even when they pricked her finger she didn't cry. She weighs 18.3lbs and is 28 inches tall. In comparison to Keely, Keely weighed 17.9 and was 28 inches tall too. Kennedy is very smart, she climbs over most barriers I make to keep her out of things and is already into opening and pulling things out of drawers. She can stand up by herself without any help. She has taken about 5 steps. Just a matter of time for this girl to be running after her sister. She also has her two bottom teeth. She has been on Soy formula for about 2 months, though she prefers juice. She is always stealing Keely's. She is growing so fast, we love her more and more each day (especially the days she sleeps good)

Sea World 2010

My sister, Jackie and her family were here and so was my brother, Craig and his family so we all went to Sea World. I think everyone had fun and it was a success. The only part Keely was iffy about was when we walked thru the shark exhibit, the part where you are under the glass and they are swimming all around you, she put her head on Kevin's shoulder and hid. The girls were really good considering the lack of naps and such, as soon as we left they both crashed in the car.

My little girls are growing up so fast!! Kennedy has two teeth now. She crawls, climbs, and pulls her self up everywhere. I followed her last week down the hall and up the stairs?! She just wants to keep up with Keely.

My sister Amy used to work at the Little Gym in San Clemente. The girls got to go down and play with her a couple of times. They love their Aunt Amy!

For Memorial Day Weekend we went to Arizona for a visit. We got to be there for Summers 6th Birthday too! Keely loves her cousins so much. She wouldn't leave Hunter alone, she was hugging and chasing him the whole time.

Water Weekend

This last weekend we went to the Friday night Shark Exhibit at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Keely really liked looking at the sharks and other sea animals.

Saturday we went down to Dana Point to the Beach. It was Kennedy's first time. I think she had fun?! She ate some sand and tried to play with her big sister.

Kennedy is growing so quick! She has been sitting up for about a month now. She started crawling (army crawling) about a week & a half ago. She is on the move. Much quicker than Keely. We recently went to Utah for Kevin's youngest brother, Sean's, mission farewell. He is going to Oaxaca, Mexico. I stupidly didn't take many photos. I need to get some from my Mother-in-law (hint hint =)) It may be because I had Whitney do a photo shoot with Keely & Kennedy (photos to come soon) and the entire Crow family did a family picture at a studio. That is what the two last photos are of, the girls at the photo studio. We had a really good time, we got to hang out with some old friends and see family. Keely had fun playing with her cousins and Grandma & Grandpa.

We had a great Easter. Great food and family fun. Even got an earthquake! Keely got Donald and Daisy Duck in her basket. She still loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She already sleeps with her two Minnie Mouses and Mickey Mouse now adding Donald and Daisy....its gonna be one full bed. or should I say port-a-crib. She doesn't want to sleep in her toddler bed yet. Kennedy got the crib a couple of weeks ago and she hates it... fun times

Kennedy had her 6 month doctor appointment this week. She weighed in at 14.13 lbs. Almost a pound less than what Keely was, and is 26 inches tall. (Keely was 26 1/2) I was surprised. I guess my little chubby is thinning out.

Double Strollers & Bicycles

This last week we finally got a double stroller. We got the double sit-n-stand. Hoping that it will last us awhile with the option of when Keely gets a bit older she will be able to jump in and out on the back. (Disneyland will be soooo much easier now too) Well at least we won't have two seperate strollers. (I guess Disneyland is never that easy to get around with in a stroller) I used to call the Moms at Disneyland the crazy stroller Moms, cause I would always get hit. I now know that you have to be a crazy stroller Mom if you want to get anywhere at Disneyland!

Kevin got a new Beach Cruiser. Our hopes are that we can go on family bike rides soon. (I need to figure out the helmet laws in CA) I know Kevin and I are good without one, but if the kids ride on a seat behind us do they need one?? Do they need one if they ride in the trailer? Plus I got to find where they sell infant bike helmets. Everywhere I have looked is 3+ size. Might need to order from the interet I guess. Here is Kevin on his new bike.

Kennedy's 4 months

Kennedy turned 4 months old (over a week ago) but I have been sick with Strep throat so this is a little late. She now weighs 14.4 lbs and is 25 1/2 inches tall. That is a pound heaver and an inch taller than Keely was. She still won't take a bottle or a binky =( She still is up alot during the night. I am lucky if it is less than 3 times. But... on the positive side... She still smiles all the time and is so cute and sweet. She loves to suck on her fingers, blankets, and bibs.

Not too much been going on here. We were stuck inside all last week because of the rain. WOW was that alot of rain! We actually brought in Keely's slide so she had some ~~exercise~~ fun. Kennedy is rolling... she has actually been rolling for at least two weeks. Keely's vocab is expanding daily. Her favorite word lately is "poop"

Keely really likes jumping on the Wyatt's trampoline. Her hair was so static, these pictures don't do it justice. Anytime she went to get off the tramp it would shock her and she would cry. (Needless to say, she didn't want to get off)

These are from Christmas day over at my brother Kelly's house. He cooked a real good meal and the kids all had fun with presents.

For Christmas this year we went to Arizona to be with the Wyatt's and my brother Kelly's family. We had lots of fun, even though it was brrr cold... there was lots of good food and good company. Keely had a great Christmas! (Kennedy slept thru most of it) She got her buggy (her favorite) books, blocks, farm, magnadoodles, dollhouse, shoes, etc... she is spoiled.

Just wanted to document what a smart little girl I have. Some of these things she has been doing for months, but as of 17 months she knows where her hair, tongue, mouth, teeth, ears, belly button, hands, fingers, toes are. She knows the animal sounds for horse, cows, dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, and pigs. Words she says- Dada, Mama, Baba, Sis (sister), Cowboy (our dog), shoes, up, out, bye (she says this one the most), hi, nite-night, juice, yes, apple, ball and Papa. She understand 90% of what we say. I ask her to throw away things and get things for me and she will. I can tell she is going to be a great helper!

Kennedy is such a sweet little girl. She is such a Mama's girl. I keep trying to give her a bottle but no luck?! Any suggestions???

My Mom got Kennedy this cute dress. I wish there was one bigger so Keely and Kennedy could of matched, but there will be plenty of years for that.

Keely & her BFF (Kevin) She loves her Dad so much. If I ask her to say Mama, she says Dada and smiles. She gets excited whenever he comes home.

It's almost impossible to get this little girl to smile for the camera now. SOOO frustrating. Hopefully we can get a good family picture at Kennedy's blessing.

Kennedy had her 2 month appointment yesterday. She weighed in at 12 lbs 5 oz (90%)and 23 inches tall (50%) My poor baby had to get 5 shots too! I guess my ped. doesn't order the vacines that are combined?! lame... the most Keely had to get was 3. She cried pretty good but I put her in your car seat and she fell asleep for like 3+ hours. She is becoming a pretty good girl, less crying and more smiling =)

Disneyland!

My parents and Kevin's parents got us Disneyland annual passes for Christmas! We decided to get them a little early because the last two weeks in December are blocked out.

Keely meeting Mickey for the first time. She was really excited while we were waiting in line...

Then she got a little scared.

It is so much fun to watch her experience and see things for the first time. We are so lucky to live in California and close to Disneyland we can go for a couple hours at a time and not stress about doing everything. Next time we go we are going to try and hit "Small World" and Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh and if you are wondering where Kennedy is...well she was sleeping in her stroller both times we have gone so far =)

Kennedy "Nedy" is 6 weeks old. I weighed myself with her and without her, she is about 12lbs! This girl loves to eat. But she throws up so much I am surprised she continues to gain so much. She barely fits in any 0-3 outfits. She is getting more personality now which is fun. Love to see her smile =)

I took Kennedy to her 2 week apointment today. She has gained a full pound. Weighing in at 9lbs 4oz and grew 3/4 of an inch bringing her to 20 1/4. All the doctor said was that she was off the charts. Opposite of what Keely was.

Kennedy's labor story: I woke up on the 29th (7am) and had contractions. They weren't horrible but they weren't comfortable. Since I had contractions for what seems like forever with Keely I didn't know if I should go in or try and wait as long as I could... Well I couldn't wait too long. My Mom took me (Kevin meet us) and we arrived at the hospital at 10am. The first time they checked me I was dilated to a 3- almost a 4 and 70% effaced. Once I knew I was staying my Mom left and took Keely home. (She wasn't allowed in the delivery room) They had me walk around the hospital for 45 minutes (torture) and my water broke. The nurse tried to tell me that it probably wasn't my water it was probably the gel from the exam... please... so I asked her to check me "just in case" and yep... my water broke... From there the contractions got worse and worse. I think it was about 1pm that I got my epidural. After the epidural they checked me and I was dilated to a 6. My sister Emily (Amy) showed up and we all hung out for a couple of hours. The process happened alot quicker than I was expecting. At about 3pm they checked me and I was at a 9-10 and then started to push- pushed for 10 minutes and Kennedy was born. She had the cord wrapped around her neck twice! and I don't remember the technical term but her cord I guess was barely attached to the placenta and they told me she must have been a real fighter to be born so healthy with both those things against her. I was surprised that she weighed so much more than Keely being that both of them were exactly 16 days early.

Sorry for the lack of blogging... We have been under the weather. In the last week alone I have been to the ER two times, Urgent Care two times and OB Check up. Fun times! I think we are on the road to recovery now thank goodness. Kevin in coming back to Arizona tonight and will be here till Monday!! WOO HOO. My official move date to join him is Sept.12th.

Kevin got a job offer in Orange County, California to work for Cummins Cal Pacific! He starts August 24th so we have been very busy packing. Luckly Jackie (my sister) is renting our place out so we don't have to worry about our home. I am not sure yet when Keely and I are going to join him yet. Depends on health insurance. Most likely it will be right after baby sister gets here.
